Amelia Island!

We went to Amelia Island with the Cooper family last week. What a great trip! Everyone had a great time, especially the kids. Caroline loved the pool and the beach! Here are a couple photos from the trip.

Caroline is 1!!

Caroline turned one on May 4th! We can't believe it has been a year. It truly has been a flash. Caroline is such a joy and has blessed us beyond imagination in this past year. We are SO very thankful for her life! Here are some photos from her birthday festivities! Happy #1 sweet girl - we love you! Here's to many, many more!

Caroline devoured her first cupcake. It was a puppy-themed party, so the cupcakes had green icing (for grass) with a little puppy dog on them. The green icing got EVERYWHERE - awesome. Caroline had a ball!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! For Caroline though we explained this to her... it was more about the Easter bunny and eggs! She had several Easter egg hunts and actually sort of understood the idea. She LOVED the Easter bunny and enjoyed several sugar cookies! Here are a few photos to commemorate the holiday!

Going to the zoo!

Today Caroline made her first trip to the zoo. We figured it was about time with all of the animal noises she knows and is so excited about. Plus, my mom got us a membership for my birthday (thanks, mom!). When you take an 11 month old to the zoo their favorite things seem to be what they can see up the closest or what is moving around to catch their eye... It was a toss up between the gorillas and the fish! She had a great time!

Lately...

A lot has happened since my last post. Caroline is crawling all over the place and is quite the adventurous girl. She can take a few steps at a time though I do not think she realizes it is a mode of transportation - she views it as more of a game. She claps, waves, and loves saying animal sounds. "Woof" is her favorite - are you surprised?? In other news, she is soon to be a big sister. Rowling baby #2 is due August 28! Here are a few photos from the last two months.

These are some photos from our Spring Break trip to Colorado. Caroline loved the snow. She is wearing a 1983 vintage snow suit that her mother wore :). Pretty special.

Christmas!

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Caroline! She is at a really fun age for all of the lights, decorations, wrapping and excitement. It was a lot of fun watching it all through her eyes! We stayed in Dallas and celebrated with all of our families here. Here are a few photos!
